Small circular archipelago formed by volcanic islands, located in the south of the Aegean Sea, about 200 km southeast of the Greek mainland. It forms the most southern group of islands of the Cyclades, with an approximate area of about 73 km² and a population of 13,402 inhabitants in 2001.
The city is built on an archipelago of 118 small islands connected by 455 bridges, if we include the islands of Murano and Burano. You will reach Venice from the mainland via the Liberty Bridge, which from the neighboring city of Mestre accesses Piazzale Roma.
